LEARNING ACTIVITIES AND LINKS:

1. Before starting on the novel, as a class, we will create a padlet about what they think are the essential elements of a great adventure story.





2. You will keep a running list of vocabulary words with definitions in your journal or in Google Docs throughout the unit. Use this online dictionary to look up the meanings for the words. You will have a vocabulary quiz at the end of the module.




3. You will read Chapter 1 and complete the study guide questions to prepare for the Comprehension Quiz at the end of the module. You may work with your assigned partner.
